"This piece came into being as an experiment. I had pulled out images that I responded to from magazines, but without a master plan. The pieces of various colors, textures and shapes became like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle though there was no master image that I needed to match. Instead, I created the master image, piece by piece.
 
I was attracted to the sense of movement that some of them conveyed, and then I was attracted to the sense of conflicting movement. From this came the sense of chaos. I was pleased to find that the figure of a woman could be a central image in the midst of contradictory forces and that is when the title for the piece emerged."
